The Wintermen III: At the end of the World

The Wintermen lll is a wonderfully written story filled with memorable characters and nail biting action. It is so well written you don’t notice how Griffin manages to infuse it with her plea for change. If you like your fantasy/adventure seasoned with intelligence and compassion this is the story for you.

Wintermen lll is not just a conflict between people trying to preserve their independence and those wishing to control them. In the microcosm of Cobalt and Ontario, Griffin has depicted the struggle that’s existed ever since the first colonial power claimed someone else’s land as their own.

The Wintermen II: Into the dark deep

Personally I feel any book that can quote both Joe Strummer and the movie Die Hard is a must read for everyone. The fact that's its well written and a whole lot of fun are just great bonuses.”

“The Wintermen II: Into the Deep Dark continues the fast-paced saga of the first book and adds a new layer of nail-biting climate angst.”

Dan Bloom, editor, THE CLI-FI REPORT

Summertime is a good time to read about a country in permanent winter, right? Or would the story go better if one were warm and dry inside during a blizzard? It likely wouldn’t matter for The Wintermen books penned by Brit Griffin are so good, you’ll forget about the weather for a while. I certainly hope there is a Book III forthcoming!

“Brit Griffin’s The Wintermen is crazy fun. Terrific hard boiled flow to the prose and solid northern elements added to a classic genre. Griffin’s got it pitch perfect.”

Tony Burgess, AUTHOR AND SCREENWRITER OF PONTYPOOL

“A taut thriller set in a post-apocalyptic Northern Ontario darkened by permanent winter. Enjoy the chills!”

“You need to read this book because the climate is changing. You need to read this book because the central government is cutting support to the regions. You need to read this book because what we’re told is in our best interest increasingly isn’t. You need to read this book because sometimes you’re mad as hell and just don’t want to take it anymore! And you need to read this book because the dovetailing of traditional genres into something new is strangely empowering.”
